INTO THE MIST V2
"Sometimes you need to wander in the mist to understand the clarity that follows"

Since we were pups our parents told us the story. A story of mist that would creep from territory to territory, wiping out prey and sometimes taking whole packs out. They'd tell us how no one knew when the mist would come, or when it would leave, all that would be left is the remains of victims that were taken in it's destructive path. The bravest and strongest of the wolves would wait, hoping to enter the mist and survive it long enough to figure out what it wants, but it would soon be known that those who sought out the mist seldom returned. Wolves who survived would end up turning rabid, unable to speak of what they saw, and end up dying a few days after. When the mist left, so did the stories. It's been three years, generations of pups were no longer warned of the dangers and packs rejoiced, seemingly happily that the threat ceased to exist. What happens when it comes back ? Caught in the crossfire , one pack remains. They will face the lose of packmates, droughts, lack of prey, and of course, the mist. Are you strong enough ? After all, sometimes you have to wander in the mist to understand the clarity that follows.

OUR CHAIN OF HEIRACHY

AKIRA/AKINO: These are the pack leaders. They rule alongside each other with companionship but do not have to be mates. When the pack needs to relocate, they decide. When ranks are challenged, they have the final say so, and lastly, discipline. Only an Akira/Akino can dish out discipline and orders, and as leaders, the pack must listen.

SIKU; These are the second in command. Four wolves can be in this rank, and of any gender. Like council, these wolves are trained in the law of the pack, and help with accepting new members , dishing out tasks, and training the rest of the members.
SIKU; 0 ♂ 0 ♀

NANOOK; These are the pack's elders. They are the eldest and wisest out of us, and are to be greeted/treated with respect. Whether an elder is native to the pack or a newcomer from another, disrespecting one is not tolerated.

KEIKO; These are the pack's hunters. A Keiko's build is usually slim, with longer legs for running and balance for when prey may make unexpected turns. There can be as little as four and as many as 10 wolves in this rank of any gender.
KEIKO; 0 ♂ 0 ♀

OKAMI; Okami are the pack doctors. They are trained to have absolute knowledge of flora and fauna throughout our territory and neighboring territories, and can make medicine from almost injury. Okami can heal any sickness, injury or pain excluding death.

PUKAI; The young and adventurous yearlings. Yearlings range in age from 6months to 11 months old. Upon turning two they will descend into a rank of their choice with the Initiation  Ceremony and take their rightful place in the pack. At this age, Pukai will be assigned a mentor to shadow until their ceremony, and will undergo training, exercise, and challenges.

AKASHI; These are the packs warriors. They specialize in combat both offensive and defensive , and are usually the more aggressive out of our members. Akashi protect everyone, but when their guard is down and we have no upcoming battles or territory challenges, they will be assigned to a pup to protect during the spring and summer, so be careful approaching one until you gain trust, as these wolves do not play about the defenseless.
AKASHI; 0 ♂ 0 ♀

ESTONA; These are the pups. Ranging anywhere in age from a few hours old to 6 months old, these youngsters are the life of the pack. Adorable and silly, the packs patience with them runs extremely high, however so does their protectiveness. Estona can be born into the pack or adopted , as this place is not one survivable by something so small.

NIVANA; These are the newcomers. They have no rank within the pack and little to no trust. They are usually watched around our elders and pups, and are usually given tasks to complete to see if they are ready to be a fully fledged member.
